$10 Billion Trade Target Between Turkey and Canada
DEIK Turkey-Canada Business Council President Mehmet Yılmaz stated that the current trade volume of $3 billion between the two countries can reach the $10 billion target set by the leaders.
Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEIK) Turkey-Canada Business Council President Mehmet Yılmaz announced that the trade volume between Turkey and Canada is targeted to be increased from the current level of $3 billion to $10 billion.
Emphasizing that the current trade volume remains below the potential of the two countries, Mehmet Yılmaz stated that the $10 billion target set by the leaders is achievable. Yılmaz noted that particularly the strong capacity in the defense industry and manufacturing sector draws the attention of Canadian investors.
Drawing attention to Canada's strength in artificial intelligence, information technologies, and space sciences, Yılmaz noted that cooperation can be established in these areas with Turkey's fast and strong structure on the manufacturing side.
