2027 Central Government Budget Targets and Macroeconomic Projections Announced
During the ceremony held at the Presidential Complex, growth, inflation, urban transformation, and employment targets for the new period were shared with the public.
Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz announced at the 2027 Central Government Budget Finalization Ceremony that the budget bill is ready to be submitted to the Grand National Assembly of Turkey. The details of the budget, prepared to support macroeconomic stability and the disinflation process, were disclosed.
Budget and the TBMM Process
It was announced at the 2027 Central Government Budget Finalization Ceremony held at the Presidential Complex that the budget law bill is ready to be submitted to the Grand National Assembly of Turkey.
Growth and Inflation Targets
It was stated that economic growth is projected to reach 4.2 percent in 2027. It was announced that consumer inflation is expected to decline to 28.4 percent by the end of 2026 and to 21 percent by the end of 2027.
Urban Transformation Appropriation
It was reported that the appropriation allocated for urban transformation activities within the scope of the budget was increased by 176 percent to 276 billion Turkish Liras.
Employment and Unemployment Expectations
It was stated that total employment is planned to increase by 657 thousand people in 2027, while the unemployment rate is projected to fall to the level of 8 percent.
