76 Percent of Scientific Products in the Agricultural Sector Are in the Research Stage

At the conference on agriculture and environment held on October 27, difficulties in commercializing scientific research results in the sector were discussed, and it was announced that the majority of products remain in the research stage.

Deputy Minister of Public Security Nguyen Van Long stated that out of 451 agricultural science and technology products reported by 34 local governments, 341, which is 76 percent, are still in the research phase. It was stated that the rate of implementing research results into practice remained at approximately 24 percent.

Minister of Agriculture and Environment Trinh Viet Hung reported that in the first nine months of 2026, the agriculture, forestry, and fisheries sector grew by 4.02 percent and exports reached 56.3 billion dollars. Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung instructed to strengthen the connection between research and production and to convert scientific studies directly into economic growth.
