The AK Party is working on a new regulation for citizens whose General Health Insurance (GSS) premium debts exceed 10 years. The initiative, which concerns more than 1 million people, aims to write off debts from 2017 and have the regulation enacted before the new year.
The AK Party is preparing a new legal regulation to alleviate the debt burden of citizens whose General Health Insurance (GSS) premium debts exceed 10 years.
Within the scope of the prepared regulation, it is planned to write off the 2017 GSS premium debts of more than 1 million people. Similar debt relief practices covering the periods between 2012 and 2016 had been implemented previously. This new effort, which aims to reduce the public debt burden and facilitate citizens' access to healthcare services, is targeted to be enacted before the new year.
The period for citizens who have not paid their General Health Insurance premium debts to benefit from healthcare services will expire on December 31. Therefore, it is important that the regulation be completed before this date.
