Anima Reduces Phone Wait Times in Clinics by 75% with GPT Models
Anima has reduced phone wait times in medical clinics from 40-50 minutes to 10 minutes by utilizing OpenAI's GPT-6 and GPT-Live models. The platform enhances operational efficiency by accelerating clinical document processing and note preparation.
UK-based health technology startup Anima has achieved a significant increase in efficiency for patient communication and document management processes in clinics by integrating OpenAI's GPT-6 and GPT-Live models.
Anima offers an AI-powered platform that compiles patient histories, processes documents, and drafts clinical notes. The company utilizes GPT-6 models for document workflows and the GPT-Live model for phone conversations. According to measurements, phone wait times in clinics using the system have dropped from 40-50 minutes to 10 minutes, marking an improvement of at least 75%.
In document processing, centers that previously handled an average of 15 documents per hour are now able to process 30 to 45 documents per hour with this technology. In the most efficient clinics, this number can reach up to 60. Additionally, the Scribe product, powered by the GPT 5.6 Luna model, converts consultation transcripts into structured clinical notes, facilitating the preparation of referral letters and patient follow-up messages. The vast majority of cases on the platform are resolved within 24 hours, with an average resolution time measured at approximately 3.5 hours.
Serving more than 14 million patients across over 1,000 clinics in the UK, Anima aims to expand its operations into new markets such as the US and Australia.
