Strategic Cooperation Memorandum Between Can Tho City and Six Universities
The Can Tho City People's Committee has signed a comprehensive cooperation protocol with six universities in the region, focusing on education, technology, and digital transformation. This initiative aims to support the city's economic growth and facilitate the commercialization of academic research results.
The Can Tho City People's Committee has signed a strategic cooperation memorandum with Can Tho University, Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy, University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City, Nam Can Tho University, Tay Do University, and Vo Truong Toan University, in line with the region's development goals.
The signed memorandum of understanding focuses on five key areas: education, human resources development, science, technology, innovation, digital transformation, culture, arts, tourism, and international integration. This cooperation model aims to increase the city's economic growth rate and integrate scientific research results produced at universities into the local economy through commercialization.
Within the scope of the agreement, a specific implementation plan covering the 2026-2030 period was also launched between the Can Tho City People's Committee and Can Tho University in August 2026. The city administration plans to achieve its sustainable development goals through these academic partnerships.
