Export Growth in September

According to the statement made by the Chinese customs agency on Wednesday, the country's exports showed a strong rise of 36.3 percent in September compared to the same period of the previous year.

Surpassing the 25 percent annual growth rate in August, this increase was also recorded as the fastest export growth pace since February.

High-tech products, including semiconductors and automobiles, were among the main factors driving the increase in China's overseas shipments.

Import Data and Trade Surplus

Imports climbed 31 percent year-on-year in September, accelerating from August's 28.2 percent increase.

Despite all this, China recorded a trade surplus of $133.5 billion last month, surpassing the $119.1 billion surplus in August.

Nine-Month Balance Sheet and Record Expectation

In the first nine months of the year, China's total trade surplus reached $938.1 billion, strengthening expectations that last year's full-year record of $1.2 trillion could be surpassed.

Pressures from trade partners, notably the European Union and the United States, to rebalance trade pose new international challenges against China's rising export resilience.
