China's trade surplus reached $938 billion in the first nine months of the year
The rapid year-on-year increase in exports in September indicates that the country is on track to break annual records and surpass the $1 trillion threshold.
China's trade surplus reached $938 billion in the first nine months of the year, as exports exceeded expectations with a 36 percent increase in September.
Rapid increase in exports
According to official data released by the General Administration of Customs of China, exports recorded a 36 percent increase in September compared to the same period of last year.
This rate was recorded as the fastest increase since February, directly supporting the country's foreign trade volume.
Imports and trade surplus
During the same period, imports also experienced a 31 percent increase, and economic activity displayed a balanced appearance.
Meanwhile, the monthly foreign trade surplus for September alone reached a significant level of $133.5 billion.
Record expectation
It is projected that the total trade surplus accumulated since the beginning of the year could exceed the $1 trillion threshold within this month.
These developments clearly demonstrate that the country is moving forward with decisive steps toward surpassing its previously broken annual records.
