The social media ban targeting children under 15, which will come into effect as of November 1, is preparing to change children's digital habits and family dynamics. Clinical Psychologist Elif Şenyiğit Dibek pointed out that this process could create anger, restlessness, and anxiety of exclusion in children, and emphasized that parents should adopt a guiding approach rather than a prohibitory attitude.

Clinical Psychologist Elif Şenyiğit Dibek stated that children in the 10-14 age group, in particular, have made social media the center of friendship and a sense of belonging. Stating that moving away from this digital environment may initially lead to emotional reactions such as disappointment and anger in children, Dibek noted that families should view this situation not as a discipline problem, but as a natural reaction to change.

Dibek suggested that families turn to social and cultural alternatives to prevent children from falling into a void. Stating that activities such as bowling, ice skating, theater, and sports will help children express themselves, the expert touched upon the importance of parents reviewing their own technology usage habits and establishing a trust-based communication.
