Google has announced Gemini 4 Carbon, a new frontier model offering major innovations in cybersecurity, coding, and agent tasks. The AI model has initially been made available to selected cybersecurity defense companies.

According to the announcement made by Google, the new model includes significant improvements compared to the Argon model released earlier this month. Ranking first in the Artificial Analysis Intelligence Index v5.0 benchmark test, the model outperformed Claude Opus 5.5 and GPT-6 Astra. Gemini 4 Carbon is currently available only to specific cybersecurity defense companies, but it will be expanded to other partners under the Fairwind Program in the future.
