The International Health Tourism Promotion Program was held in Ankara with the aim of more effectively utilizing the international health tourism capacity of public hospitals. Hosted by USHAŞ and the Ankara Provincial Health Directorate, the organization brought together public hospital managers and authorized health tourism intermediary institutions for the first time.

The program, hosted by the Ankara Provincial Health Directorate, was attended by USHAŞ General Manager Serdar Şenol, Ankara Provincial Health Director Ali Niyazi Kurtcebe, public hospital managers, and representatives of authorized health tourism intermediary institutions. The program aimed to promote hospital capacities, increase international patient applications, and develop new collaborations.

USHAŞ General Manager Serdar Şenol stated that this organization bringing together public hospitals and intermediary institutions is the first of its kind in Turkey. Şenol emphasized that through the HealthTürkiye web portal, hospitals can easily contract with intermediary institutions, thereby increasing the number of international patients coming to the country.

Ankara Provincial Health Director Ali Niyazi Kurtcebe stated that there are 382 health facilities authorized for international health tourism in the city and that over 40 million examinations were performed in public hospitals last year. Within the scope of the program, officials from Bilkent City Hospital, Etlik City Hospital, Etimesgut Şehit Sait Ertürk State Hospital, and Ankara Osmanlı Oral and Dental Health Hospital made presentations and provided information at exhibition booths.
