Iraqi government: We are working with Turkey to remove the PKK from the country
Iraq has announced that it is conducting high-level coordination with Turkey to remove the PKK from its territory.
The Iraqi government has reported that it is working in high-level coordination with Turkey to remove the terrorist organization PKK from the country.
Iraqi Government Spokesperson Haydar Abbudi stated in his remarks to the official news agency INA that high-level coordination is being conducted with Turkey regarding the removal of the terrorist organization PKK from Iraqi territory. Abbudi emphasized that Iraq will not allow its territory to be used in a way that poses a threat to neighboring countries.
Addressing other allegations in the country, Abbudi denied claims that there are Houthi headquarters in Iraq. Regarding the issue of Iranian Kurdish armed groups, he reported that high-level coordination has been established with Iran and a joint committee has been formed. He also noted that the Sheeb Border Crossing is not yet technically ready for use and that trade continues through other crossings.
