Ismail Kartal era ends at Fenerbahçe: Dirk Kuyt appointed
Following the defeat against Galatasaray, head coach Ismail Kartal has resigned. The Fenerbahçe management accepted the resignation and announced that Dirk Kuyt has been appointed to lead the team until a new head coach is determined.
Following the 2-1 defeat against Galatasaray, Fenerbahçe head coach Ismail Kartal has resigned from his position. As a result of the discussions held with President Aziz Yıldırım and the board of directors, Kartal's resignation request was accepted and made official.
The club officially notified the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP) of Ismail Kartal's departure. In the statement, it was noted that while the search for a new head coach continues, Dirk Kuyt has been appointed as the interim technical manager of the Football A Team.
On the other hand, it was stated that the name of Vincenzo Montella is also being mentioned among the club's head coach candidates.
