The liquidation process of YEKA RES Elektrik Üretim A.Ş., which was set to realize the projects of the first YEKA RES tender, was completed on October 15, 2026.

According to the disclosure made to the Public Disclosure Platform by Metgün Enerji Yatırımları, a 20 percent partner in the company, the liquidation process was concluded on October 15, 2026. The company was established in January 2018 under the name Kalyon Türkerler Rüzgar Enerjisi Elektrik Üretim A.Ş. and changed its name in October 2020 upon the participation of Metgün Enerji Yatırımları and EFA Group as partners.

The company's portfolio included six separate wind power plants that could be built within the scope of YEKA RES-1, Turkey's first Renewable Energy Resource Area (YEKA) tender in the field of wind energy. The YEKA RES-1 tender held on August 3, 2017, was won by the Kalyon-Türkerler and Siemens Gamesa Consortium with a bid of 3.48 US cents per kilowatt-hour, securing a total capacity right of 1,000 MW in Kırklareli, Edirne, Sivas, and Eskişehir.

According to the specifications, the consortium was required to establish a turbine factory in Turkey with an annual production capacity of at least 400 MW or 150 units consisting of turbines with a minimum power of 2.3 MW, and to conduct R&D studies for ten years in at least three of the five different areas. The YEKA RES-1 tender had been cancelled in May 2024.
