Managed Entitlements Introduced for Amazon Bedrock
Amazon Web Services announced a new managed entitlements feature that centralizes multi-account access to third-party artificial intelligence models.
Amazon Web Services has launched the managed entitlements feature for Amazon Bedrock, providing centralized subscription and deployment capabilities. This innovation significantly simplifies multi-account access to third-party artificial intelligence models for organizations.
A New Era in Multi-Account Access
Managing artificial intelligence model access across numerous AWS accounts creates operational challenges when workload accounts subscribe individually. Thanks to the new feature, organizations can easily distribute access by subscribing from a centralized account all at once.
Two Different Approaches for Implementation
AWS offers two different implementation paths to activate license rights: a lightweight script and CDK automation. The lightweight script stands out as a standalone solution providing one-time activation for cases where all acquired licenses are trusted.
Managing Processes with Automation
CDK automation establishes a continuous and event-driven processing workflow using the AWS Cloud Development Kit. This method listens to AWS Marketplace contract events to verify vendors and creates distributed grants to request activation.
Cost Management and Scalability
Marcus Lau, Platform Engineering Manager at Heidi Health, stated that private pricing on AWS Marketplace helps scale cost management. This approach enables third-party foundation models to be managed without manual workloads.
