Nicolas Cage strongly criticizes Amazon's artificial intelligence policy
Master actor Nicolas Cage criticized Amazon's stance on artificial intelligence at the New York Comic Con event and announced that he did not approve of this technology in the project.
Famous actor Nicolas Cage spoke out against Amazon's artificial intelligence policy at New York Comic Con, revealing that he refused to sign the document permitting the use of artificial intelligence in the Spider-Noir series.
Reaction against artificial intelligence policy
Hollywood's shift toward artificial intelligence has drawn criticism from actor Nicolas Cage. Speaking at New York Comic Con, the veteran actor criticized Amazon's artificial intelligence policy and withheld his approval for the use of this technology.
Stating that he does not look favorably upon artificial intelligence, Nicolas Cage indicated that the chances of him working with the company again are slim, adding that being on bad terms with Amazon does not bother him.
Spider-Noir and the series process
Nicolas Cage drew attention to their disagreement by claiming that Amazon invested $50 billion in OpenAI. The star actor's statements came following the cancellation of the Spider-Noir series last month.
Although it received positive reviews, it remains unknown whether the actor's refusal played a role in the end of the one-season series. However, the experienced actor will continue to voice the character Ben Reilly in Sony's Spider-Verse animations.
Preference for working with young directors
Hollywood's turn toward artificial intelligence has also altered Nicolas Cage's preference in directors he wants to work with. The famous actor favors young filmmakers who develop projects independently through YouTube.
Believing that this generation approaches artificial intelligence with more distance, Cage stated that he wants to work with Kane Parsons, who is known for Backrooms and his criticisms of technology.
