President Erdoğan's Statement on Fund Investigation: 'The Sleeve Does Not Remain Within the Broken Arm'

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made evaluations regarding the fund investigation during the AK Party MKYK meeting, emphasizing that those responsible will be held accountable and that they will act according to their own schedule rather than being influenced by the opposition.

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made significant statements regarding the fund investigation during the AK Party Central Decision and Executive Board (MKYK) meeting. Stating that necessary actions will be taken against those responsible, Erdoğan expressed that no one is beyond criticism, saying, "It is not a matter of keeping the broken arm within the sleeve; we will do what is necessary to ensure it does not spread or harm the body." Noting that they are conducting a calm and determined process, Erdoğan recorded that they are not acting based on the opposition's provocations and will take the necessary steps according to their own schedule.

During the meeting, a presentation regarding the local government reform was also delivered by AK Party Deputy Chairman and Head of Local Governments, Mustafa Demir. It was reported that the reform efforts, which include ensuring fiscal discipline in municipalities and strengthening audit mechanisms, are being carried out under five main headings and are planned to be submitted to the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) as soon as possible.
