Art Experience in a Hotel Room

The exhibition titled Séparation, to be held in Room 44 of Hôtel Langlois, offers a different atmosphere by stepping outside of traditional exhibition spaces. The event provides viewers with the opportunity to experience works of art in a hotel room instead of an ordinary gallery.

Theme of the Works and Technical Details

Curated by Nazlı Pektaş, the exhibition brings together a total of 25 works consisting of the artist's portraits, figures, and still lifes. Porcelain-thin skin textures, pale colors, rose-pink cheeks, and gazes directed at the viewer stand out in the paintings.

Using thick oil paint strokes and fine lines together, the works make room for feelings of melancholy and loss behind the vitality they carry at first glance.

Video Series and Visiting Dates

The exhibition also features a video series shot by the artist that relates to her paintings, screened on the hotel room's television. This special event, organized simultaneously with the contemporary art fair Art Basel Paris, can be visited until October 31.
