On the occasion of World Biosimilar Week, held from October 19-24, 2026, Sandoz Turkey drew attention to the potential of biosimilars to support patients' access to biological treatments and contribute to healthcare systems. The company is carrying its global experience of over 20 years into the future with the Bio100 vision.

The focus of World Biosimilar Week is to transform the proven value of biosimilar medicines into access for more patients. Differences in regulatory processes and the maturity level of healthcare systems can delay patients' access to these treatments. Cengiz Zaim, Country President of Sandoz Turkey and Head of the Middle East, Turkey and Africa Region, stated that they are the market leader in Turkey with five biosimilar products. While patent protection for nearly 110 biological drugs is projected to expire in the US and Europe over the next decade, it was stated that this development will be decisive in expanding patient access. In addition to the $71 billion in savings achieved to date in the US and Europe, it is projected that an additional $206 billion in savings could be achieved by 2032 by realizing the potential of biosimilars.
