Victory Party Çorum Provincial Chairman Bedii Onan evaluated the understanding of luxury consumption and wealth in Turkey in a written statement he published. Giving examples from the operetta "Lüküs Hayat" composed by Cemal Reşit Rey in 1933, Onan criticized the display of fortunes with uncertain sources.

Giving extensive coverage to claims regarding investment funds in his statement, Onan claimed that there are 455,000 victimized investors and that 131 funds with a size of approximately 900 billion liras are awaiting liquidation. Stating that some fund monies were transferred to accounts abroad, Onan questioned the audit mechanisms of the Capital Markets Board (SPK), the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP), and Borsa Istanbul (BİST). He also reacted to the rejection of motions in the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM) aimed at investigating the fund crisis.
