Statistics on Companies Established and Closed in Turkey in September 2026 Announced

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) has shared the statistics on companies established and closed for the period of September 2026 with the public. According to the data, the number of companies established in September increased by 3.2 percent compared to the previous month, reaching 9,506, while the number of closed companies rose by 4.6 percent to 2,212.

According to the data announced by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey, the number of companies established in the January-September period increased by 5.4 percent compared to the same period last year, reaching 85,320. In the same nine-month period, the number of closed companies decreased by 1.5 percent to 20,496.

Of the 9,506 companies established in September, 1,084 were registered as joint-stock companies and 8,422 as limited liability companies. Istanbul ranked first in company establishments with a 38.8 percent share, while on a sectoral basis, the highest number of companies began operations in the wholesale and retail trade sector.
