Vietnam International Digital Week 2026 Kicks Off in Quang Ninh
Vietnam International Digital Week 2026 opened in Quang Ninh under the theme of artificial intelligence and digital transformation, with the participation of over 500 delegates from 30 countries.
Organized in cooperation with the Ministry of Science and Technology and the People's Committee of Quang Ninh Province, Vietnam International Digital Week 2026 (VIDW 2026) began in Quang Ninh on October 28, 2026. Held from October 28 to 30 under the theme "Smart Connection: AI Governance, Shaping AI Transformation," the event brings together more than 500 delegates from approximately 30 countries.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Minister of Science and Technology Vu Hai Quan stated Vietnam's vision as "AI for humanity, AI for everyone," drawing attention to institutions, human resources, and the AI ecosystem. Nguyen Van Cong, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Ninh Province, noted that the city promotes AI applications in urban management, tourism, and technology. Within the framework of the event, it was also announced that Vietnam received the 2026 GSMA Government Leadership Award.
