Fehmi Kiraz, Chairman of the Turkish Union of Agricultural Engineers (TZYMB), announced that this year's wheat production data has exceeded annual demand. It was stated that production reaching 288 kilograms per capita is a positive development in terms of food security and animal feed supply.

TZYMB Chairman Fehmi Kiraz stated that favorable weather conditions and precipitation throughout the season were reflected positively in crop production estimates. Kiraz noted that alongside the increase in wheat, projections indicate a 17.3 percent increase in cereals and other crops compared to last year, and a 60.8 percent increase in fruits, beverage, and spice crops. It was noted that a limited decrease of 0.8 percent is expected in vegetable production.
