Following the merger, the Xuan Vien Commune Health Center is focusing on stabilizing its organization and improving healthcare services, preventive health activities, and the quality of medical examinations. The health, protection, and improvement needs of the local population are being progressively met.
Merger and Organizational Stability
Formed by the merger of three health stations—Xuan An, Xuan Vien, and Xuan Thuy—the Xuan Vien Commune Health Station has gradually stabilized its organization. Assigning appropriate tasks to its staff and establishing operational regulations, the unit has ensured the continuity of health services.
The health station has signed a contract with the Social Security Agency to implement medical examinations and treatments under health insurance, creating favorable conditions for people to access healthcare services at the local level.
2026 Medical Examination and Treatment Data
In the first nine months of 2026, the unit provided medical examination and treatment services to 11,105 people, of whom 4,137 were covered by health insurance, achieving 75 percent of the plan.
Director Dr. Le Minh Thu stated that a large number of ethnic minorities live in the area, emphasizing that the station is focused on preventing and controlling diseases, improving examination quality, and strengthening the role of village health workers.
Disease Prevention and Maternal and Child Health
Thanks to the proactive implementation of disease prevention and control measures, no major epidemics occurred in the area during the first nine months of 2026.
One hundred percent of pregnant women received counseling on prenatal care and safe delivery, and all 75 births took place in medical facilities. The malnutrition rate among children under 5 was determined to be 13.15 percent for weight and 16.24 percent for height.
Environmental Health and Chronic Disease Management
Importance was given to environmental health, with 97.6 percent of households using clean water sources and 79.5 percent using hygienic sanitation facilities.
The management of non-communicable diseases continued to be implemented; the effectiveness of monitoring and treatment for patients with hypertension, bronchial asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and diabetes was gradually improved.
Digital Transformation and Electronic Records
The Xuan Vien Commune Health Station is actively implementing digital transformation in the health sector. Through medical data cleaning campaigns, 75 percent of the population has obtained electronic health records.
The unit coordinates with the village health network to review data, contributing to better monitoring of public health.
Current Limitations and Future Goals
The full vaccination rate for children under 1 year of age has reached 50 percent of the plan; the management rate for certain non-communicable diseases remains low.
In the coming period, the station will continue to improve the quality of medical examinations, prevent epidemics, promote vaccinations, and strengthen the screening of chronic diseases.
