Applications Ended for TOKİ Istanbul Rental Social Housing Project

Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Murat Kurum announced that applications have been completed for TOKİ's rental social housing project in Istanbul and that the drawing of lots will take place in October.

Application Process Completed

The application process, which started on September 14 for the rental social housing implemented by the Housing Development Administration (TOKİ) for the first time in Istanbul, ended as of September 25.

Drawing of Lots and Delivery

Following the application review phase, the owners of the 1,071 housing units among the citizens who meet the conditions will be determined through a drawing of lots to be held in October, and the first keys will be delivered.

Who Will Benefit

Turkish citizens over the age of 18 who are married, whose household income in Istanbul is below 100 thousand liras, and who do not own a registered house under their name within the scope of the 500 thousand Social Housing Project system will be able to benefit.

In addition, applicants are required to have resided continuously in Istanbul for at least 1 year, and applications were received free of charge via e-Government.

Housing Distribution and Prices

The homes, which will be rented with amounts starting from 10 thousand liras, will be allocated as 1+1, 2+1, 3+1, and 4+1 according to groups.

In the first phase, housing units will be rented in the districts of Başakşehir, Gaziosmanpaşa, Beyoğlu, Güngören, Maltepe, Tuzla, Kartal, Ataşehir, Sancaktepe, Ümraniye, Üsküdar, and Arnavutköy.
