This leads to a lack of discovery among teams, absence of audit trails, and uncontrolled growth and version drift across the organization.

Two Distinct Management and Discovery Layers

AWS Agent Registry provides a comprehensive governance layer where compliance signals and security policies are configured.

Additionally, it features a discovery layer equipped with semantic and lexical search capabilities that enable the rapid finding of approved agents.

What Registered Resource Types Are Supported?

The system supports Model Context Protocol servers, Agent2Agent agent cards, markdown files along with code packages, and valid JSON descriptors.

Broad Enterprise Adoption and Integration

Leading enterprise customers such as Sony, Mitsubishi Electric, Southwest Airlines, and PepsiCo have started adopting this new registry system.

Various partners are also providing integration to modernize multi-agent architectures and reduce duplication in engineering efforts.
