Beijing-based artificial intelligence company Z.AI has announced that it will execute a share placement worth approximately $2 billion and simultaneously sell $3 billion in convertible bonds in Hong Kong.

Share Placement Details

The company is offering a total of 21.97 million new shares at 714 Hong Kong dollars each. This set price represents a 10% discount compared to Friday's closing price.

Convertible Bond Terms

Z.AI is executing a zero-coupon bond sale totaling 20.14 billion yuan, or approximately $3 billion, maturing in September 2027. The initial conversion price of the bonds was set at 25% above the share placement price.

Purpose of Financing

The proceeds are planned to be allocated toward research and development activities and computing resources. Additionally, resources will be created for potential investments and corporate capital.
