The U.S. Department of the Air Force has completed a two-week experiment to test AI-enabled human-machine teaming and Space Force integration.

The Main Objective of the DASH Experiment

The Department of the Air Force tested human-machine teaming, which offloads intensive data processing to artificial intelligence so that human operators can make faster and smarter decisions.

This two-week process was conducted to advance joint command and control modernization efforts.

Operational Team and Participants

Throughout the experiment, an integrated operational team led by a U.S. Space Force Guardian was on duty.

This team worked jointly with U.S. Air Force battle managers and industry software developers.

Center and Collaborative Efforts

The event was hosted at the 805th Combat Training Squadron's Nellis Shadow Operations Center.

This process was jointly managed by the ABMS CFT and the Air Force Research Laboratory as an enterprise-wide effort.

Technological Infrastructure and the Future

The experiment utilized a plug-and-play ecosystem designed to securely transition artificial intelligence capabilities into classified command and control networks.

These conducted efforts aimed to validate an agile acquisition model designed to rapidly deliver capabilities to the warfighter.
