Director Paul Schrader to Make a Film with AI Actors

Paul Schrader, known as the screenwriter of classics such as Taxi Driver and Raging Bull, announced that he will work with artificial intelligence actors for his new film Three Guns At Dawn.

Paul Schrader, known as the screenwriter of American cinema classics like Taxi Driver and Raging Bull, is preparing to continue his filmmaking career with a new production.

Following his film The Basics of Philosophy, the director stated that he will try a different method instead of traditional casting for his upcoming project Three Guns At Dawn.

Casting Obstacle

In an interview with The Playlist, Director Schrader stated that the film originally focuses on three Black brothers and that these characters have negative profiles.

He noted that because the characters in the script do not have positive representation, no Black actors wanted to take part in the roles, and this situation created an obstacle.

Artificial Intelligence Solution

Stating that artificial intelligence emerged following this obstacle in the process of finding actors, Schrader expressed that he will no longer need human actors.

Accordingly, the director clearly stated that he plans to use digital actors generated by artificial intelligence in his new film.
