Officials reported that six companies, including DeepSeek, Moonshot AI, and Alibaba, targeted models developed by Anthropic, OpenAI, Alphabet's Google, and SpaceX.
China's Awareness and Diplomatic Preparations
US authorities stated that these activities were likely carried out with the knowledge of the Chinese government.
These allegations coincide with a period when the administration of US President Donald Trump is making preparations for Chinese President Xi Jinping's visit to the US at the end of September.
