According to the announcement made by the San Francisco-based company Harvey, the new funding round was co-managed by Diffusion and Lightspeed Venture Partners. This financing round aims to support law firms and corporate teams in building their own intelligence at scale.
The round saw participation from many existing and new investors, including major funds such as Sequoia, Kleiner Perkins, a16z, Coatue, Conviction, Elad Gil, Evantic, GIC, Goldman Sachs Alternatives, Verified Capital, WNDR, Sapphire Ventures, and Whale Rock.
Developed Artificial Intelligence Tools
Harvey develops artificial intelligence tools for law firms and corporate legal departments. This platform helps automate legal workflows such as contract analysis, due diligence, compliance, and litigation processes.
Acquisition of Guardrails AI
Making its fourth move of the year, Harvey acquired the San Francisco-based AI security platform Guardrails AI. The financial terms of this acquisition, which provides security solutions for artificial intelligence agents, were not made public.
Market Position and Past Investments
The company had reached an $11 billion valuation in a $200 million funding round held in March. Harvey reports that its platform is used by 80% of the top 100 highest-grossing law firms in the United States.
