Swedish legal tech startup Legora has accelerated efforts to grow its database with the aim of minimizing AI errors and breaking the dominant duopoly in the sector.

Expansion of Database and Scope

Legora CEO Max Junestrand and Senior Legal Data Director Melanie Brown are leading the efforts to increase the company's case law and legal data accumulation.

While signing licensing agreements with well-known publishers like Wolters Kluwer, the Swedish company is also physically scanning court decisions from books to enrich its database.

Market Competition and Goals

The startup aims to offer an attractive alternative to LexisNexis and Westlaw, which have dominated the market for a long time.

In addition to these giants, Legora aims to compete with other legal-focused AI players such as Harvey.
