Meta Brings Muse AI Assistant to Smart Glasses
As part of the innovations announced at the Meta Connect event, the Muse assistant is being integrated into smart glasses.
Meta is preparing to integrate the Muse AI assistant into its smart glass models, while also announcing FDA-approved hearing enhancement, Dolby Atmos audio capture, and new navigation features for display-equipped glasses.
Muse Assistant Being Integrated into Smart Glasses
Shortly after launching the Muse assistant, Meta announced it is working to bring it to smart glasses, including the new glasses introduced at the Meta Connect event.
Users will be able to activate the Muse assistant by calling it by name to manage daily tasks such as workout guidance, meal logging, and shopping.
Hearing and Accessibility Innovations
The Hearing Enhancement feature, an FDA-approved software for individuals with mild-to-moderate hearing loss, will roll out later this year as part of a Meta One subscription or for an additional $149 fee.
Meta AI is beginning to provide more context-aware responses for blind and low-vision users, while a new audio customization feature for sound balancing is also being added to the system.
Advanced Audio and Visual Features
Other announced innovations include Dolby Atmos Capture for 360-degree spatial audio, and Dynamic Photo, which offers multi-frame capture and AI selection.
Among these innovations is also a Hologram feature that provides photorealistic facial avatars during calls for Meta Ray-Ban Display users.
Display and Navigation Updates
New navigation capabilities introduced for display-equipped glasses include voice-activated real-time cycling and public transit directions.
Additionally, landmark-based turn-by-turn walking instructions, on-screen photo editing, the Explore app, an improved calendar, and phone notification mirroring features are being offered.
