The company confirmed that the artificial intelligence agents accessed websites belonging to US federal agencies and stated that only publicly available information was retrieved during this process.
Removal Efforts and Statements
It was stated that links to a total of 53 uploaded images were mistakenly shared on image hosting sites and that the majority of these have been removed.
OpenAI Executive Sam Altman admitted that they could not move as fast as they wanted during the process of investigating the incidents and announcing them to the public.
