OpenAI Introduces New Analytics Features for ChatGPT Admin Console
New tools have been announced that enable managers to correlate artificial intelligence spending and usage with business value.
OpenAI has rolled out new analytics features in the ChatGPT Admin Console for the ChatGPT Work and Codex platforms. These innovations allow managers to tie AI usage and spending to tangible business value, track task insights, and measure return on investment.
AI Usage and Expenditure Analysis
Usage analytics show areas of increasing adoption and concentrated spending, helping managers focus support, review costs, and evaluate capacity demands. The usage view aggregates active users, credits, and token consumption in a single place.
Work Performed by Teams Using AI
The task classifier in the insights section groups message examples by use cases and tasks, enabling managers to understand what work AI is supporting. For instance, software engineering includes feature development and code maintenance, while sales and revenue cover account research and planning.
Identifying Training and Support Needs
The model, reasoning, and speed distributions in task details show the credit share of each setting within a task. This allows managers to evaluate whether the setup is appropriate for the work being done and to target training regarding model selection.
Engineering Outcomes and Reporting
The outcomes view displays Codex contributions to lines of code along with merged commit operations alongside code review activity. The admin plugin and API support within ChatGPT Work enable findings to be reported for budgeting and deployment decisions.
