AK Party Kocaeli Deputy Cemil Yaman shared his field observations and poll results regarding the Terror-Free Turkey process in a live broadcast he attended ahead of the opening of the new legislative year of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey.

Parliament Begins New Legislative Year

The General Assembly of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey is officially starting its work for the fifth legislative year of the 28th term after a fifty-one-day break.

Due to the opening, a ceremony will be held at the Atatürk Monument in Parliament, and then the General Assembly will convene for a special session.

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will address Parliament in a special session to be chaired by the Speaker of the TBMM Numan Kurtulmuş.

Support Rates for the Process

AK Party Deputy Chairman for Local Governments Cemil Yaman evaluated the approaches of citizens towards the Terror-Free Turkey process.

Yaman stated that the support given to the process in the Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia regions is at ninety percent.

Approaches in Western Provinces

He stated that the support rate for the process in Western provinces varies between seventy-eight and eighty percent.

He noted that they encountered some criticisms in Western regions and that there is misinformation in public opinion.

Response to Bargaining Allegations

He firmly denied the allegations that any bargaining was being conducted with the terrorist organization.

He emphasized that neither they nor Abdullah Öcalan had any such bargaining request whatsoever.

Sensitivity of Families of Martyrs and Veterans

He underlined that the sensitivities of the families of martyrs and veterans must definitely be protected.

He stated that they will not be involved in any action that would offend the heroes who paid a price for the homeland.
