The Immortal Faces of Art open-air exhibition and Yıltan Taşçı's Deviation exhibition, prepared in cooperation with the Cyprus Literature Association and the Yıltan Taşçı Academy, opened at LESAM.

Opening Ceremony of the Exhibitions

The Immortal Faces of Art open-air exhibition, organized in cooperation with the Cyprus Literature Association and the Yıltan Taşçı Academy, met with art lovers at the Nicosia Art Center. Following the event, the opening of Yıltan Taşçı's exhibition titled Deviation was also held.

Names Attending the Ceremony

The event held at the Nicosia Art Center was attended by Nicosia Turkish Municipality Mayor Mehmet Harmancı, Gönyeli Mayor Hüseyin Amcaoğlu, former High Ombudsman Emine Dizdarlı, former CTP MP Arif Albayrak, and numerous art enthusiasts.

Opening Speech by Yıltan Taşçı

Artist Yıltan Taşçı thanked LTB Mayor Mehmet Harmancı for bringing LESAM to life. Taşçı stated that local governments and those who value culture and art came together to achieve things that the state could not.

QR Code Application

Criticizing the fact that there is no large-scale art museum established by the state in the TRNC, Taşçı stated that the Immortal Faces of Art exhibition will keep alive the names that have contributed to Cyprus culture and art. Visitors will be able to access biographies in Turkish and English by scanning the QR codes under the photographs.

Views of Association and Municipality Officials

Cyprus Literature Association President Serkan Soyalan stated that they aim to transform the LESAM building, which was formerly the Ayluka Church, into an art museum and achieved this with the contributions of the municipality and associations. LTB Mayor Mehmet Harmancı emphasized his happiness over the transformation of the space into a living center.

Details of the Deviation Exhibition

Following the speeches, the exhibitions were toured, and the opening of Yıltan Taşçı's Deviation exhibition took place at the LESAM M. Necati Özkan Exhibition Hall. Representing the detachment of the body from aesthetic boundaries through the figure of a ballerina, the exhibition has started welcoming art lovers.

Visiting Dates and Hours

Representing the detachment of the body from aesthetic boundaries through the ballerina figure, the Deviation exhibition can be visited between October 1 and November 2 on weekdays from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM and on Saturdays from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
