33rd International Culture and Art Festival Begins in Muğla
Opening its doors under the host of Menteşe, the traditional event will host various artistic and cultural activities for four days.
Hosted by the Menteşe Municipality and with the contributions of the Muğla Metropolitan Municipality, the 33rd International Muğla Culture and Art Festival started enthusiastically with a ceremony held at the City Square.

The 33rd International Muğla Culture and Art Festival, organized under the host of the Menteşe Municipality and with the contributions of the Muğla Metropolitan Municipality, started with an opening program that witnessed colorful scenes at the City Square.
Emphasis on Culture from the Protocol
Speaking at the opening, Muğla Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ahmet Aras stated that preserving the natural, cultural, and architectural values of Menteşe is of great importance, drawing attention to the role of such events in transmitting culture to future generations.
Menteşe District Governor Ali Edip Budan also emphasized the importance of transmitting culture and art to future generations and touched upon the significance of the organization.
Details of the Festival Program
Menteşe Mayor Gonca Köksal Aras stated that they are maintaining the festival, which was first organized in 1984, with a great sense of responsibility.
It was reported that the festival will continue for four days with concerts, interviews, art workshops, children's activities, a kite festival, painting and sculpture exhibitions, and theater performances.
Festival Fire and Music Recital
Following the speeches, the festival fire was lit by protocol members and peace doves were released into the sky.
Turkish Folk Music artists Emel Taşçıoğlu and Gülşen Kutlu, who took the stage within the scope of the program, performed unforgettable Neşet Ertaş folk songs.
