Ankara Culture Road Festival Begins on September 19
Organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the 19th stop of the Turkey Culture Road Festival in Ankara will open its doors on September 19 for nine days of events.
Organized for the fifth time in Ankara by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Turkey Culture Road Festival will host culture, art, and gastronomy gatherings at various points across the capital, from museums to streets, between September 19 and 27.
Events in Culture and Art Venues
Within the scope of the Turkey Culture Road Festival, exhibitions, talks, panels, and workshops from various disciplines will be organized in the capital's museums, culture-art venues, and public spaces.
Numerous locations, from the ancient city of Gordion to CSO Ada Ankara, and from the Ankara Painting and Sculpture Museum to the Museum of Anatolian Civilizations, are included in the festival program.
Ankara Cuisine Flavor Points
In the gastronomy leg of the festival, Ankara's local cuisine will meet visitors at more than 50 Flavor Points.
Chef Mehmet Yalçınkaya will host the program, which will feature delicacies such as Ankara tava, Ankara simit, and Beypazarı stew.
Başkent Nation's Garden Concerts
Başkent Nation's Garden will host open-air concerts every day throughout the festival, where different names will take the stage.
Artists such as Gökhan Türkmen, Hakan Altun, Derya Uluğ, Sefo, Ceza, and Ebru Yaşar will meet music lovers at the festival.
Performing Arts and Concerts
In the performing arts program of the festival, opera, ballet, dance, theater, and musicals will be presented to art enthusiasts.
Classical music, jazz, and world music concerts, as well as special dance performances, will be staged at CSO Ada Ankara and other venues across the city.
Exhibitions and Traditional Arts
Exhibitions under many different headings, such as The Sacred Relics of the Ottomans and Living Heritage, can be visited at various points across the city.
Various workshops and panels will also be held in traditional fields such as felt-making, marbling, tile art, ceramics, and wood carving.
Special Programs for Children
Theater, musicals, creative writing, and art workshops aimed at children will be organized throughout the festival.
The Children's Village to be established in Başkent Nation's Garden will host various activities and Ethnosports events for nine days.
Street Events and Archeofilm
In addition to museums and stages, the festival program will also move to the art streets of Hamamönü, Hamamarkası, and Ulucanlar.
Different events, such as the 3rd International Gordion Archeofilm Festival and a virtual parachute experience, also await visitors.
