Application process begins for the International Alanya Stone Sculpture Symposium
Artist applications are now being accepted for the 21st International Alanya Stone Sculpture Symposium to be held in Alanya.
The application process has officially started for the 21st International Alanya Stone Sculpture Symposium, to be organized this year by the Alanya Municipality. Artists wishing to participate can submit their applications until September 18, 2026.
Application Details for Artists
Artists who prepare the application form and required documents available on the official website of the Alanya Municipality will be able to submit their applications via e-mail. The deadline for applications has been announced as September 18, 2026.
Collaborating and Contributing Institutions
First organized in 2004, the event is being brought to life this year in cooperation with the Alanya Municipality, Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University, and the Alanya Tourism Promotion Foundation. Additionally, Demirtaş Mining, Dumlu Özcan Mining, and Taş Diyarı are contributing to the organization.
Diabase Stones Will Turn into Artworks
Artists coming to Alanya from different countries will carve diabase stone blocks, which are among the region's natural riches, for a month to create original sculptures.
Public Production Process
Throughout the event, the production process will be open to the public, and citizens and visitors will have the opportunity to closely observe the stages of stones turning into works of art.
Exhibition and Permanent Works
Following the one-month production marathon, the resulting works will be exhibited on November 30, 2026, at the open-air exhibition area behind the old Alanya Municipality building, making a permanent contribution to city life.
