Within the scope of the 'In the Footsteps of the Pen, on the Path of Conquest' project implemented by Yıldırım Municipality for the 700th anniversary of the conquest of Bursa, leading writers and academics of Turkey are visiting the historical route.

An important cultural tour was organized within the scope of the 'In the Footsteps of the Pen, on the Path of Conquest' project implemented by Yıldırım Municipality in commemoration of the 700th anniversary of the conquest.

Comprehensive Route

Turkey's leading writers and academics are rediscovering the route covering Söğüt, Bilecik, Yenişehir, İnegöl, Kestel, Nilüfer, Yıldırım, and Osmangazi.

Guidance of Expert Names

This meaningful historical tour is carried out under the guidance of expert academics Prof. Dr. Feridun Emecen, Prof. Dr. Hasan Basri Öcalan, Prof. Dr. Refik Arıkan, and Asst. Prof. Sezai Sevim.

Figures from the World of Culture

Turkey's well-known writers such as Ali Ayçil, Ali Günvar, Beşir Ayvazoğlu, Celâl Fedai, and many other esteemed literary figures are participating in the historical trip.

Essays Will Turn into a Book

Examining the stops along the conquest route firsthand within the scope of the project, the writers will put their impressions and thoughts about the trip into writing by drafting essays.

A Permanent Work is Targeted

These special writings, to be penned by sixteen authors, will be added as a permanent heritage to Bursa's historical and cultural treasure through a newly created book.

Transfer to Future Generations

Drawing attention to the importance of the project, Yıldırım Mayor Oktay Yılmaz particularly emphasized that this valuable work carried out will be passed down to future generations.
