Turkey's prominent tourism center, Cappadocia, was introduced to professionals at an international tourism fair held in Japan, and new cooperation talks were conducted.

Led by efforts from the Turkey Tourism Promotion and Development Agency and the Cappadocia Site Directorate, Cappadocia was presented to international tourism professionals at the Tourism Expo Japan 2026 fair.

Fair Promotion Activities

Within the scope of joint efforts by the Turkey Tourism Promotion and Development Agency and the Cappadocia Site Directorate, Cappadocia was introduced to international tourism professionals. Natural beauties, historical heritage, and diverse tourism experiences were conveyed to fair visitors. At the stand, which attracted great interest, discussions were held to develop new collaborations with the Japanese tourism sector.

Delegation Participation

Nevşehir Governor Hüseyin Kök, Nevşehir Deputy Emre Çalışkan, and Nevşehir Mayor Rasim Arı participated in the fair and promotional activities in Japan. Additionally, Cappadocia Site Director Cem Aslanbay and AK Party Nevşehir Provincial Chairman Muhammed Feyzi Akgün took part in the delegation.

Minister Ersoy's Evaluations

Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy stated in his social media posts that Cappadocia's unique heritage is being brought together with the world. Ersoy emphasized that the presence in the Far East market is being strengthened and the region's tourism potential is being effectively promoted.

JATA Meetings and Invitations

Within the scope of the fair, the Cappadocia delegation met and held contacts with the President of the Japan Association of Travel Agents. Japanese travel agencies and digital content creators were invited to the region. Business-to-business meetings that will bring together Turkish and Japanese tourism professionals are planned to be held.
