Comprehensive Renovation Work Launched at Narlıdere Atatürk Cultural Center
Narlıdere AKM, one of İzmir's important culture and arts venues, is being completely renovated to achieve a modern and comfortable appearance.
Narlıdere Municipality has launched a comprehensive renovation and transformation project at the Atatürk Cultural Center (AKM), which holds an important place in the city's cultural and artistic life.
Gürdal Tosun Stage is Being Renovated
Within the scope of the renovation works, a comprehensive reorganization process is also being carried out at the Gürdal Tosun Stage within AKM.
While existing seats are being removed to make them more comfortable, artist dressing rooms and the worn-out stage floor are also being renewed in accordance with contemporary needs.
Common Areas are Being Modernized
Renovation works are being carried out on the center's interior walls, ceilings, corridors, and steps.
While the electrical installation is being reorganized to increase safety and efficiency, the foyer area, restrooms, and trainee workshops are being modernized.
Roof and Exterior Sections are Being Overhauled
Comprehensive transformation works are not limited only to the interior parts of the center but also cover the exterior areas.
Necessary repair works on the building's roof are being carried out meticulously ahead of the approaching winter and rainy season.
Back in Service in a Short Time
Narlıdere Mayor Erman Uzun emphasized that the center holds a very important place in the city's cultural memory.
Stating that the works are being carried out with their own resources and the support of the Metropolitan Municipality, Uzun expressed that the center will reopen as soon as possible.
