Two People Arrested in Bartın for Obscene Content Sharing on Social Media
In an operation coordinated by the Bartın Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, two suspects who generated income through a subscription system on social media were sent to prison.
Two suspects determined to have earned income through a subscription system by sharing obscene content on social media platforms in Bartın were arrested by the court after completing their procedures at the police station.
Investigation and Tracking Process
A comprehensive study was conducted by the Cyber Crimes Branch Directorate of the Provincial Police Department under the coordination of the Bartın Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.
Within the framework of this ongoing investigation, the social media accounts of individuals named Ş.Ç. and K.Ö. were examined in detail.
Social Media Income Method
As a result of technical examinations, it was determined that the suspects shared obscene video content through their Instagram and TikTok accounts.
It was determined by official authorities that these individuals established a subscription system in exchange for these shares and generated illicit income.
Charges and Operation
Following the findings, an investigation was launched against the suspects for obscenity and laundering assets derived from crime.
During search activities carried out by police teams at the residential addresses of the suspects, various digital materials were seized.
Referral to Courthouse and Arrest
The detained suspects Ş.Ç. and K.Ö. were referred to the courthouse after completing their legal procedures at the police station.
The suspects were arrested by the Criminal Judgeship of Peace to which they were brought and sent to prison.
