A widely attended symposium and theatrical performance are being organized in honor of the 90th birth anniversary of Ioanna Kuçuradi, one of the leading figures in the world of philosophy.

Opening and Closing Program of the Symposium

While Prof. Dr. Betül Çotuksöken, Vice President of PST, will undertake the opening speech of the event, Prof. Dr. Harun Tepe, member of the PST Board of Directors, will deliver the closing speech. Throughout the program, Kuçuradi's philosophical methodology and her work in the field of human rights will be discussed in detail.

Philosophy and Value Views in the First Session

In the first session, which will be chaired by Prof. Dr. İsmail Demirdöven, expert names will make presentations on Kuçuradi's understanding of ethics, views on values, and philosophy education.

Kuçuradi Through the Eyes of Her Students in the Second Session

In the second session chaired by Prof. Dr. Berfin Kart Tepe, Kuçuradi's doctoral and master's students as well as colleagues will share their memories of their teacher and the reflections of philosophy on their lives.

Relationship Between Art and Philosophy in the Final Session

In the final session to be managed by Prof. Dr. Cemal Güzel, topics such as the philosophical perspective in art and the relationship between theater and philosophy will be thoroughly examined by academicians and artists.

Antigone Play Will Be Staged

At the end of the event, the play Antigone, dedicated by Kemal Demirel to Ioanna Kuçuradi and prepared by Türkân Soman Çelik and Seyfettin Balcı, will be presented to the audience at 19:00.
