"Crows of Times Past" Exhibition Meets Art Lovers in Büyükada

Caricaturist Kemal Gökhan Gürses’s "Crows of Times Past" exhibition, which addresses the daily life of old Istanbul and the Princes' Islands through the witness of crows, has met visitors at Taş Mektep and the Büyükada Ferry Pier in Büyükada.

Organized by IMM Culture and IMM Heritage, the event was presented to the appreciation of audiences in the city's cultural venues.

Art lovers can visit the exhibition at Taş Mektep, one of Büyükada's important cultural spots, and the Büyükada Ferry Pier.

History Witnessed by Crows

Known for their long lifespans and continuity in urban life, crows take center stage in the exhibition as the ancient witnesses of Istanbul.

The artist reimagines life in photographs stretching from the late Ottoman period to the mid-twentieth century with his drawings.

Different Places and Times

In the exhibition, a thousand different times and places are presented once again to the appreciation of art lovers through the eyes of crows.

Scenes stretching from Pera's nightlife to Dolapdere and Kadıköy are conveyed using the photo-illustration technique.

The exhibition will continue to host art enthusiasts between September 3, 2026, and January 31, 2027.

The event can be visited free of charge every day of the week except Mondays, between nine in the morning and six in the evening.
