Digital Transformation Process Begins in 216 Museums and Archaeological Sites Across Turkey
With the project to be implemented in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and Türk Telekom, cultural heritage will meet new technologies and smart systems will be put into operation.
In line with the protocol signed between the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and Türk Telekom, a comprehensive digital transformation process has been initiated with a domestic and national infrastructure in 216 museums and archaeological sites across Turkey.
Scope and Schedule of the Project
Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy came together with the Türk Telekom delegation to discuss the implementation schedule and current status of the project.
This major transformation study, covering a total of 216 museums and archaeological sites across Turkey, is planned to be completed by the end of 2026.
New Generation Technological Applications
Thanks to the system to be implemented with a domestic and national infrastructure, modern solutions will be offered in a wide range from smart ticketing to data security.
Smart ticketing, multi-channel digital payment, artificial intelligence-supported data analytics, audio guides, augmented and virtual reality applications will be put into service.
Infrastructure and Data Security
With fiber infrastructure, widespread wireless internet systems, and 5G integration, an uninterrupted and fast digital experience will be provided to visitors.
All strategic data obtained will be protected in secure domestic and national infrastructures located within the country's borders.
Museum Stores and Cultural Values
Within the scope of transformation efforts, museum stores, cafeterias, and sales areas will also be renewed and included in the project.
These areas will feature original products reflecting cultural values such as traditional Turkish handicrafts, Turkish coffee, Turkish delight, and Turkish carpets.
Museum Card Application with TR ID Card
Instead of cards whose usage period has expired, citizens will be able to easily use their TR ID cards as Museum Cards.
Citizens who make payments via e-Government or the mobile application will be able to enter by scanning their ID cards at the ticket office without waiting in line.
