Eastern Tales Exhibition Meets Visitors in Konya
Combining traditional motifs with contemporary art, the exhibition has opened its doors, treating tales as a tool for healing and transmission.
Reinterpreting the traces of tales passed down from the past to the present in societal memory through contemporary art and experiential spaces, the "Eastern Tales: Once Upon a Time" exhibition has been presented to art lovers in Konya.
The Thematic Structure of the Exhibition
Curated by Güven Adıgüzel and Seyid Çolak, the painting selection of the exhibition is shaped around three main themes.
Miniatures, calligraphy, the manuscript tradition, and contemporary works are featured in the selection using oil painting, ink, and mixed techniques.
Experiential Spaces and Installations
Instead of a classical exhibition experience, visitors become an active part of the world of tales with sections such as video art, the Garden of Dreams, and the Konya Tales Room.
In the main hall, large-scale installations such as the Wheel of Fortune, Mount Qaf/Simurgh, and the Great Atlas of Tales are exhibited.
