Five-Day International Festival in Mesarya Starts on September 1
The second international culture, art, and sports festival, organized by the Mesarya Municipality, will take place from September 1 to 5.
Hosted by the Mesarya Municipality, the 2nd International Culture, Art, and Sports Festival will bring together music, dance, and entertainment across various residential areas of the region from September 1 to 5, 2026, with the participation of groups from different countries around the world.
Press Conference and Details
The program of the festival, brought to life by the Mesarya Municipality, was shared with the public at a widely attended press conference held at the Union of Turkish Cypriot Municipalities. Mesarya Mayor Ahmet Latif and TRNC CIOFF and Folk Dance President Özlem Kadirağa attended the meeting.
International Participation
Folk dance ensembles from Argentina, Venezuela, Turkey, the Czech Republic, and Kazakhstan will take part in the five-day events. These guest teams will share the same stage with local folk dance groups from the Mesarya region to showcase their cultures.
First Day Events
The festival will officially begin on Tuesday, September 1, with spot performances in Korkuteli. Following the performances at Dörtyol Square, Grup Reva will meet with music lovers at 22:00 in the finale of the day.
Second Day Program
Following the performances in Turunçlu on Wednesday, September 2, an opening parade will be held in Vadili. After the festival fire is lit, main stage performances will take place, and the night will continue with a Yahya Erenköy concert.
Third Day Events
On Thursday, September 3, following the events in Aslanköy, guest countries and the Paşaköy Youth Center teams will take the stage in Paşaköy. The evening program will conclude with a Grup Frekans concert.
Fourth Day Enthusiasm
As the festival continues in İnönü on Friday, September 4, international and local teams will present their performances following the parade. Grup Pena will take the concert stage on this night.
Closing and Gala Night
On the final day of the festival, Saturday, September 5, the opening of the Mesarya Municipality Culture Center will take place in Akdoğan. Following children's plays, a traditional night, gala performances, and an award ceremony, the festival will end with a Koray Avcı concert.
