Free Introductory Ottoman Turkish Seminars Begin at APİKAM
Application dates and details have been announced for the Ottoman Turkish training courses to be organized by APİKAM, operating under the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality.
The Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Ahmet Piriştina City Archives and Museum is organizing free introductory-level Ottoman Turkish seminars aimed at enabling participants to read texts from the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
Seminar Program Dates
The Introductory Ottoman Turkish Seminars, to be held at the Ahmet Piriştina City Archives and Museum, will take place between October 6 and December 24.
Application Process and Conditions
Applications for the training, prepared for citizens wishing to learn Ottoman Turkish, can be made in person directly at APİKAM between September 28 and October 2.
Content and Duration of the Training
The program, lasting a total of 12 weeks and covering 48 hours of training, will be held every Tuesday and Thursday between 16:00 and 18:00.
During this process, participants will learn the basic features of the language and gain the ability to read printed texts belonging to the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
Certificate of Participation Will Be Awarded
An official certificate of participation will be presented at the end of the course to all participants who successfully complete the training program.
